Kendrapada: Panic gripped Pattamundai in Odisha’s Kendrapada district after a dead snake was found in a pot of Dalma during a community feast organised as part of a weeklong Bhagavat Saptaha programme on Wednesday.
According to sources, organisers had prepared Dalma and other foods for around 400 participants. Trouble began when a poisonous snake was reportedly found inside the Dalma pot while the food was being served. Following which, people who had consumed the food rushed to the sub-divisional hospital, fearing possible health complications.
