Bhubaneswar: Two persons from Haryana were arrested at Bhubaneswar railway station on Tuesday after they were allegedly found peddling ganja during a routine security check by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
According to sources, the duo, who appeared to be from outside the state, was rounded up on suspicion and a K-9 squad dog sniffed out the contraband. “A search was subsequently conducted and ganja was recovered,” a RPF official said, adding that they were attempting to transport the contraband from Odisha’s Ganjam district to Haryana using train services.
The official further stated that such inspections are conducted regularly, particularly when trains operating on major routes arrive at the station.
