Bhubaneswar: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University here and Jadavpur University (JU), Kolkata, on Friday for jointly pursuing academics and research in various contemporary subjects of pharmaceutical sciences and translational medicine.
The partnership between the two universities would make it easier for faculties and students to engage in academic and research activities in several areas involving pharmaceutical sciences including clinical research, molecular pharmacology, drug discovery, herbal nanotechnology, translational medicine research and formulation development, a varsity release said.
The MoU was signed by SOA’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Registrar Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan and JU’s Pallab Kanti Haldar.
Pradhan said the partnership between SOA and Jadavpur University was not an option but a need in light of the technical improvements happening in the pharmaceutical industry. “This MoU will spawn numerous new collaborative efforts and synergies in pharmaceutical technology,” he said.
