SOA Figures In Times World University Ranking For Second Time In Row

Bhubaneswar: The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here has figured in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking for the second consecutive year.

It has been placed in the 1001 plus category for 2021.

The rankings were generated from five broad sets of indicators representing key areas in higher education excellence including Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income and reputation), Citations (research influence), Industry Income (knowledge transfer) and International Outlook (international staff, students and research collaborations).

SOA was placed in the 1001 plus category in the World University Ranking for 2020 as well.

A multi-disciplinary university with nine different institutes, it was placed 20th in the university category in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) this year while the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, its faculty of medical sciences, and Institute of Technical Education and Research, its faculty of engineering and technology, were ranked 23rd and 34th respectively in the country.

Institute of Dental Sciences, its faculty of dental sciences, was placed 12th in the country by NIRF.
