Bhubaneswar: A graduation ceremony was organised for students of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Campus-1 (SPS-1) and SUM Nursing College, Cmpus-1 (SNC-1), faculties of pharmaceutical sciences and nursing respectively of SOA Deemed to be University here on Wednesday with degrees presented to students of both institutions who had completed their courses.
Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA, graced the occasion and gave away the degrees.
Students of B Pharm of the 2022-26 batch, students of M Pharm of 2024-26 batch, students of integrated MSc (Biotechnology) of 2021-26 batch, students of MSc (Biotechnology) of 2024-26 batch, students of MSc (Nursing) of 2023-25 batch, students of BSc (Nursing) of 2021-25 batch and students of Post Basic BSc (Nursing) of 2023-25 batch received their degrees.
Addressing the students, Prof. Nanda urged them to always work for the benefit of humanity while pointing out that medical professionals had worked round-the-clock to battle against the Covid pandemic to save millions of lives.
Prof (Dr) Neeta Mohanty and Prof Anup Kumar Samantaray, both Pro-Vice Chancellors of the university, Prof Debajyoti Das, Dean of SPS-1, Prof Sasmita Das, Dean of SNC-1, Prof Sanghamitra Nayak, Head of Center of Biotechnology, Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare), Prof Pravati Tripathy, Director of SNC, heads of different departments of the two institutions, members of the Academic Council and faculty members were present.
