Bhubaneswar: Three post graduate students of the Department of Pediatrics at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital have done the institution proud by winning three awards at the 26th East Zone Pedicon 2019 held at Puri recently.
While Dr. Tushita Ghosh, a third year postgraduate student, won the first prize in general pediatrics oral paper, Dr. Debajani Panda (second year postgraduate student) won the first prize in neonatology oral paper.
Dr. Swaranjika Sahoo of second year postgraduate class won the third prize in poster presentation.
Two other postgraduate students of IMS and SUM Hospital also won laurels at the National Conference of the Pigment Society of India held at Kolkata this week.
Dr. Annie Raizada, a third year postgraduate student of the department of Dermatology, Venereal Diseases and Leprosy, won the third prize in Award Paper Category while Dr. Arunima Ray and Dr. Nibedita Dixit of second year postgraduate class qualified for the final quiz round securing second position among 15 competing medical colleges from across the country.
