SOA Students Participate In Rally Against Child Labour In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: NSS volunteers and members of VSF SOA Community Radio 90.4 participated in the awareness rally against child labour in Odisha capital on Tuesday.

The rally, organised by the Labour department of the state government, started from Ram Mandir square and culminated in a meeting at Master Canteen in Bhubaneswar.

Addressing the participants in the rally, Ollywood actors Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Mishra stressed on contribution from all sections of the society to eliminate the social evil of child labour.

Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) Sandhyabati Pradhan and Labour Commissioner Dr N Tirumala Nayak also spoke at the meeting.

SOA VC attends conference in Dhaka

Eminent neurosurgeon and Vice-Chancellor of SOA Prof Ashok Mohapatra spoke on ” Globalisation and challenge in neurosurgery’ at 11th international conference organised by Bangladeshs Society of Neurosurgeons at Dhaka.

Prof Mohapatra spoke on 7 different aspects of neurosurgery at the conference which was attended by neurosurgeons and medical students of 10 countries. The conference was held from June 5 to 7.
