SOA To Host 2-Day National Conclave On Cyber Security In Bhubaneswar From Tomorrow



Bhubaneswar: SOA Deemed to be University will be organising the ‘National Conclave on Cyber Security, AI and Emerging Technologies — Securing Tomorrow’s Intelligent Systems’ at its campus here on April 29 and 30.

The conference will bring together leaders from the government, industry, academia and defence on a single platform for a strategic dialogue on a secure and intelligent digital future.

The objective of the conclave, being organised by SOA in association with the Atal Incubation Centre-SOA Foundation, is to foster collaboration, innovation and policy alignment to strengthen India’s resilience against evolving cyber threats while promoting the responsible and ethical adoption of Artificial Intelligence.

“It aspires to contribute meaningfully towards building a trusted, self-relian

t and future ready digital ecosystem for the country,” Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick, Director, AIC-SOA Foundation said at a news conference on Tuesday.

The key deliverables include policy inputs and strategic recommendations for cybersecurity, AI governance and data protection, strengthened industry-academia-government partnership for research, innovation and implementation, road map for securing critical digital infrastructure across sectors, support for innovation and startups through collaboration and ecosystem development and creation of a national knowledge network to enable continued engagement beyond the conclave.

A white paper containing key insights and actionable road map for the stakeholders will also be published.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed during the conclave by Cybersecurity Association of India president Dr N K Goyal and SOA-DU vice-chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda for Strategic Collaboration for Cyber Security and AI Ecosystem.

Present at the news conference were Prof. Nanda, Data Security Council of India CEO Vinayak Godse, Price Waterhouse Coopers India (PwC) director Dr Debabrata Nayak, and professor of Electrical Engineering, ITER Prof. Renu Sharma.
