Bhubaneswar: SOA University’s four-day national-level online admission test, SAAT-2017, began at 34 centres across the country on Saturday, a university release said.
The test for admission into various programmes in undergraduate and post-graduate courses is being held at 14 centers in Odisha including Bhubaneswar and 20 centres in other states, it said.
The examination is scheduled from April 22 to 25 spread over two sittings every day. The courses into which admission would be made involved engineering, management sciences, hospitality and tourism management, nursing, law, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology and agriculture. Admission into the medicine and dental sciences courses would be done through NEET.
The cities where SAAT-2017 is being held included New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Raipur, Kota, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Visakhapatnam, the release said.
SOA University became the youngest to break into the top 20 in the list of 100 India’s best universities recently announced by the National Institutional Ranking Framework of ministry of human resources development. The university occupied the 33rd place in the overall list comprising all institutions and is the highest ranked university in Odisha.
