Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), faculty of management sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, organised a workshop on ‘Statistical Data Analysis Using Statistical Package for Social Sciences’.
The workshop, which was aimed at providing hands-on training to students working in academic and research domains, and enhancing their understanding of statistical techniques, was inaugurated by SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, in the presence of IBCS Dean Prof. (Dr) Ayasakanta Mohanty, and Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita Das, Dean of SUM Nursing College, SOA’s faculty of nursing.
The speakers emphasised on the growing significance of statistical tools in data-driven decision-making processes in various fields.
The workshop was conducted by IBCS Associate Dean Prof. (Dr) Manoranjan Dash, who provided deep insights into the application of SPSS for data analysis and guided participants through practical exercises to enhance their analytical skills.
The sessions were coordinated by Dr Preeti Y Shadangi, Rubi Pradhan and Suchismita Pahantasingh.
Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare) presided over the valedictory session, encouraging the participants to apply their learning in research.
