Bhubaneswar: An aide of the social activist Aditya Dash on Wednesday said a woman of Balasore and Aditya were in a relationship for some time.
The aide, Bikash revealed this a day after Aditya’s father alleged that a Gujarat-based woman had an one-sided love affair with his son and she might have killed him.
Stating that the woman is a resident of Balasore district, Bikash said Aditya had introduced her to him when she had visited the old-age home at Sundarpada on the city outskirts here six to seven months ago.
However, Bikash said he did not have any idea about her mental illness. Regarding threats to Aditya, Bikash said nobody could threaten him.
On the other hand, Aditya’s father had stated that the ‘psycho lady’ used to blackmail his son and wanted to marry him. But, Aditya was never in a relationship with her, he claimed.
“We suspect that the woman might have killed Aditya over unrequited love. She was in a way obsessed with him and used to pester him with repeated calls,” he said.
Aditya was found dead on railway track near Lingaraj Temple Road station here on July 7. DGP Abhay had directed the Crime Branch to investigate the case, which was earlier probed by the Government Railway Police (GRP).
