Bhubaneswar: Well-known social activist and philanthropist, Dhaneswar Sahoo, of Rajnagar in Kendrapara district has passed. He was 87.
Sahoo died after a cardiac arrest at AMRI Hospital here on Friday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.
Sahoo was hospitalized in the morning after complaining of chest pain.
A close associate of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, Sahoo was a farmer leader of Ostia Gram Panchayat.
