Sambalpur: A Special Operation Group (SOG) Jawan allegedly shot himself with his service gun at Rairakhol in Sambalpur district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Amir Sahoo. He was deployed at Kisinda police station.
Some jawans spotted his body and informed the officials.
On being informed, the officials reached the spot and seized the body for postmortem.
Investigation into the matter is on.
