Bhubaneswar: A day after ‘Shaktimaan’ fame actor Mukesh Khanna raised eyebrows by blaming working women for ‘Me Too’ cases, Odisha-born singer Sona Mohapatra on Sunday criticised the actor for his “regressive mindset” and called him “mandhbudhi” (mentally challenged).
Sona took to Twitter to protest the actor’s comments against women. “Yea, cus men never ever molested or assaulted women & children inside homes according to this fellow who is best ignored. Tacky mandhbudhi. The sad truth is there are enough & more such regressive mindsets around us everywhere? We soldier on. Change is slow but is coming,” she posted.

Earlier in a media interview, Mukesh Khanna had said that women are not equal to men and they should not step out of the house to work. When women do so, leaving behind their families, cases like ‘Me Too’ happen, claimed the actor.
Khanna’s interview, in which he holds women responsible for the sexual harassment cases, has become viral on social media platforms.
