Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of actor Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, has revealed that her elder twin brothers Luv and Kussh were ‘jealous’ of her.
The actress, who was the youngest at home, was pampered by her parents and believes that her brothers were jealous of her because of the attention she received.
Sonakshi opened up about sibling rivalry in a chat with Hauterrfly.
“Main sabse choti, ghar ki ladki toh sabse laadli. Toh bhaiyo ko jalan bhi toh hoti thi. Toh mujhe padti thi (I am the youngest child and a girl, so I was the favourite. This made them jealous, and they would hit me),” Sonakshi said.
Her twin brothers had created a buzz when they skipped their sister’s wedding. Reports suggested that Luv and Kussh were against Sonakshi’s decision to marry her longtime Muslim boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal.
Hinting that all is not well between him and Sonakshi, Luv had shared cryptic posts when the actress got married to Zaheer.
However, after the wedding, Sonakshi told Hindustan Times, “I feel everyone has attended my wedding. In fact, Zaheer and I went to Singapore, and at the coffee shop, people were sending us congratulatory messages with pastries. Everyone who came to us and spoke to us was like, ‘Oh, we have seen all the videos from your wedding,’ and I was like, ‘Yes, everyone has been a part of our big day. It was really sweet.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23, 2024.
