Sonam Kapoor Wedding Invite Out!

Mumbai: A day after Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja announced their wedding slated for May 8, the wedding invite has started doing the rounds on social media.

The e-invitation card has three invites – for mehendi, wedding and a party. Inspired by nature, the e-invite are designed in green.

While Sonam and Anand’s mehendi ceremony will take place on May 7 at the Sunteck, Signature Island in Bandra, the wedding is scheduled between 11 am and 12 pm on May 8, at bungalow owned by Sonam’s aunt.

An after-party is scheduled for the same evening at The Leela in Mumbai. There is a separate dress code for each function.

A note on the card says, “Your presence on our special day is the only gift we desire.”

Sonam and Anand have been dating for the last two years and their wedding was officially announced in a joint statement on Tuesday.

“The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives,” the statement read.

On the work front, Sonam will next be seen in the movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
