Mumbai: Sonali Sood, wife of actor Sonu Sood, was injured in a horrific car accident on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway late on Monday.
The accident took place when 54-year-old Sonali was travelling with her 55-year-old sister, Sumita S
alve, with her nephew behind the wheel. Their car reportedly collided with a truck. Sonali and her nephew sustained serious injuries in the crash while her sister escaped majorly unhurt. They have been admitted to Max Hospital in Nagpur and will remain under observation for 48-72 hours, the TOI reported.
After receiving news of the accident, Sonu Sood flew to Nagpur and has remained by his wife’s side. He also updated his fans about his wife’s condition. “She’s doing fine now. Had a miraculous escape. Om Sai Ram,” India Today reported, quoting him.
Sonali, who stays away from the spotlight, married Sonu in 1996.
