Kolkata: BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will be discharged on Wednesday, but his health condition will be monitored on a daily basis from home, Woodlands hospital MD and CEO Dr Rupali Basu said on Tuesday.
Ganguly was admitted to the hospital on January 2 after he complained of chest pain, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness while exercising at his Kolkata home.
Tests revealed that the former Team India captain suffered a mild heart attack and had 3 blocked coronary arteries. Ganguly then underwent an angioplasty on the “main culprit artery” which was re-vascularised with a stent.
A nine-member medical team was formed on Monday which decided that Ganguly doesn’t need any further angioplasty for the remaining blockages in his coronary arteries, India Today reported.
