Berhampur: Odisha’s Ganjam district SP Jagmohan Meena on Monday came to the rescue of an accident victim and rushed him in his vehicle to a hospital to ensure timely treatment.
According to sources, the SP was going from Bhanjanagar to Aska on official work, when he found the youth lying injured on the road. He stopped his vehicle and took the youth with him to a hospital in Aska. He talked to the doctors and ensured that the youth get all necessary treatment.
The youth, identified as 27-year-old Shatrughan Samal from College Square of Aska, was going on his motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle hit him. He sustained injuries as he fell down from the bike.
After preliminary treatment, Samal was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital (MKCGMCH) in Berhampur. But his condition was stable, the doctors said.
