New Delhi: The Indian Railways is all set to resume passenger train services from May 12 with around 15 pairs of trains connecting New Delhi with 15 other cities in the country.
A special train will start from Bhubaneswar on May 13 (Wednesday) at 10 am. The train from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar will start from May 14.
This special train will be fully air-conditioned with 17 coaches of 3AC/2AC/1st AC type. It will have stoppages at Balasore, Hijli (Kharagpur), Tata, Bokaro Steel City, Gaya, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, and Kanpur Central between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.
This special train will start from platform No 1 of Bhubaneswar Railway Station. Passengers will have to arrive at platform No 1 from the Master Canteen Side at least 90 minutes prior to the train’s departure. Only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the platform.
All the passengers need to clear the medical screening before being allowed to board the train. Only asymptomatic passengers will be permitted to travel.
Ticket bookings are open only through the IRCTC website. Only advance tickets up to 7 days can be booked from this site. There will not be any Waiting List/ RAC tickets. Only confirmed tickets will be issued.
Cancellation of tickets will be permitted online only up to 24 hrs of scheduled departure of the train. However, 50% cancellation charges will be applicable.
Only limited variety of eatables and packaged drinking water will be available for purchase inside the train. Passengers have to carry their own food.
Bedroll and linen will not be provided inside the train. Passengers have to carry their own bed-sheets.
They also have to carry their own face cover/hand sanitisers/soaps etc for hygiene and safety reasons.
Passengers have been advised to carry less baggage as attendants/porter facilities may not be available at the stations.
On arrival at Delhi / Bhubaneswar, passengers will have to adhere to the local state government health protocols.
