Special Mo Bus Service To Assist Odisha Train Accident Victims’ Families; Check Routes & Timings

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started a special MoBus service for the family, relatives and friends of those who died in Odisha’s triple train crash on June 2 evening.

The bus from railway station and Baramunda bus stand will take them to the hospitals where bodies are kept, the civic body tweeted on Tuesday while providing a number, 18003450061/1929, for assistance.

On Tuesday, the Railways put the official death toll in the 3-way crash at 278 after 3 more passengers succumbed to injuries. Over 1100 are injured. Among those dead, 1o1 bodies are yet to be identified. While those are being embalmed, DNA tests are also being conducted to facilitate identification.

Amid this struggle of the families looking for their kin, the Odisha government has released toll free no- 18003450061 or 1929 to to help identify the bodies kept at mortuaries in Bhubaneswar. Free bus services were also run between Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and Kolkata to help those stranded here. Four more buses with around 200 passengers on board left for Kolkata from Bhubaneswar last night, the STA informed.
