Sports Festival ‘ATHLOS’ At XIMB-Bhubaneswar From Today

Bhubaneswar: ATHLOS, the inter-college sports fest of the Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB), is scheduled to be held here from October 18-20, 2019.

ATHLOS is the annual sporting event which comprises of tournaments among B-schools on various sporting events ranging from indoor sports such as table tennis to outdoor sports like football.

This year, the event is to be inaugurated by Deep Mukherjee, (Head of Sports Development &Partnership, Star TV Network, Member of CIGEPS, UNESCO and CEO of CII National Committee – Sports) and by members of the Odisha Football Club – Ashish Shah (CEO, Odisha FC), Rohan Sharma (Owner, Odisha FC) and Josep Gombau (Head Coach, Odisha FC).

Xavier University, Bhubaneswar; XLRI Jamshedpur; VJSOM, IIT Kharagpur; IIFT Kolkata; IIM Sambalpur and IMI Bhubaneswar will attend the three-day sporting extravaganza. The alumni of XIMB will also be participating as a contingent in the event for the title of ATHLOS winner.

The event is being held at XIMB since 2008, showing that sports is an integral part of the management culture, enjoyed both by the students and the alumni and encouraged by the faculty. It is also an opportunity for the institutes to build relations with other B-schools and also strengthen its bond with its alumni.
