Berhampur: Setting an example of human face of police, Berhampur SP went out of the way to come to the rescue of an accident victim lying unattended on the road on Friday.
According to sources, a youth sustained critical injuries when he was hit by a truck while going on a motorcycle on the National Highway at Lanjipalli. Though some locals had gathered there, nobody came forward to his rescue.
The SP, who was passing through the place, stopped his vehicle and enquired about the incident. On knowing the youth’s condition, he took the injured to his official vehicle with the help of the locals and drove to MKCG hospital here to admit him there. The injured person’s condition was stated to be stable.
