Srinagar Experiences Season’s Coldest Night At -3.6°C; Shallow Fog Forecast For Odisha
Bhubaneswar: At minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season so far on Friday, India Meteorological Department said on Saturday.
The mercury at most places in Kashmir plummeted several notches below the freezing point. Pahalgam and Gulmarg too shivered at -6.4 and -5.5 degrees Celsius respectively. With dry weather expected over the next one week, the minimum temperature is likely to drop further in the valley.
Meanwhile, for Odisha, the MeT Office has forecast a gradual drop of temperature by 3 to 4 degree Celsius for three days after Monday. Head of Bhubaneswar Meteorological Department H r Biswas said that the night temperature will drop across the state due to clear sky and favourable wind patterns.
Besides, shallow to moderate fog is very likely at one or two places in Interior Odisha till December 13. Dry weather is likely to prevail cross the state for the next five days, the IMD added.
Daringbadi recorded the lowest of 13.5 degree Celsius at 8.30 am on Saturday against 11.5 degree Celsius the previous day.
