Goyang (South Korea): A major fire accident was averted during the opening day performance K-pop group SEVENTEEN in South Korea.
According to reports, just moments before the members were set to take the stage, fire igniting among the multiple light fixtures above the stage was detected. No injuries were reported. But, the concert was delayed.
The venue was filled with smoke. The K-pop boy kicked off their fourth world tour in Goyang, South Korea, on October 12.
A staff member managed to climb onto the railings, which was adorned with light fixtures, and extinguished the fire, reports stated.
With fans being worried, the members tried to strike a lighter note on the stage. They made playful remarks to keep the fun alive. “SEVENTEEN and CARATs are so hot; it’s no surprise we had a fire here,” they said.
Hoshi tried to sing through the situation and comforted the fans. “No, no, it’s because of you ~ We are on fire ~! It’s going to be fine, no matter what. Anyway, it all passed by!” he said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
