Stage Set For Mahashivratri Celebrations In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Devotees across Odisha are waiting with bated breath to celebrate Mahashivratri on Wednesday.
Preparations are in full swing in all major Shiva temples to ensure smooth conduct of the festival.
In Bhubaneswar, servitors of the Lingaraj temple had a meeting with the administration and the police for smooth conduct of the festival.
To ensure timely conduct of rituals, the Abakasha Niti of the Lord will be performed at 3 AM. This would be followed by Sahanamela darshan from 3.30 AM to 11 AM, Rosha Homa at 6.30 AM, Mahasnana and Besha at 12 PM, Bhoga Mandap at 3 PM, Sandhya Alati at 7.25 PM, Sandhya Dhupa at 9.15 PM and Mahadipa Darshan at 10 PM.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure smooth entry of the devotees inside the temple. Two barricades have been put up inside the temple for the entry and exit of the visitors.
Similar arrangements have been made in the Akhandalamani temple in Bhadrak, Kapilash in Dhenkanal, Dhabaleswar in Cuttack, Nrushinghnath in Balangir, Gupteswar in Koraput and Lord Loknath temple in Puri.
