Stampede At Tirupati Temple; At Least 4 Dead, Several Injured

Hyderabad: At least four people died and several others were injured following a stampede in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati temple on Wednesday evening.

The stampede occurred at Vishnu Nivasam during the distribution of Vaikunta Dwara Sarva Darshan tokens.

Video clips shared by ANI on X showed police trying to control the huge crowd which was looking to offer prayers.


The injured people have been shifted to Tirupati Ruya Hospital for treatment.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the death of four devotees in the stampede.

Naidu spoke to officials over the phone about the treatment being provided to the injured in the incident. He ordered senior  officials to visit the site and take measures to ensure that the injured get better treatment, the Chief Minister’s Office informed.
