Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to launch plasma therapy in the state soon for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
The decision was taken at a high-level review meeting presided over by Health and Family Welfare minister Naba Kishore Das here on Thursday.
Das informed that plasma therapy will be started in the SCB Medical College and Hospital and Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack and SUM Hospital and KIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
A technical committee will be formed to determine the mode of plasma treatment, the minister added.
A decision was also taken to set up a plasma bank in the state.
