Berhampur: Foundation stone was laid for the much-awaited ‘Ganjam Haat’, here on the Local Self Government Day.
The project to be executed by Berhampur Development Authority (BeDA) at an estimated cost of Rs 22.44 crore is expected to be completed by December 18, 2021. Bhubaneswar-based BC Bhuyan Constructions Private Limited has been entrusted with the construction work.
The G+2 market complex to come up on 69,490 sqft total built-up area will have 105 shops and an amphitheater with sitting capacity of 2000 people, according to official sources.
Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MLAs Bikram Panda (Berhampur) and Pradip Panigrahi (Gopalpur) and other leaders of the BJD were present at the ceremony.
