Stranded In Andhra, 42 Students Appeal To Odisha Govt For Help
Bhubaneswar: With trains and flights being cancelled in view of COVID-19 outbreak, 42 students stuck in Andhra Pradesh have appealed to the Odisha government to make arrangement for their safe return to the state.
They reached Markpuram area in Prahkasham district on March 16 to appear for Bachelors in Education (BEd) examinations and were slated to board a train back home on March 22.
However, cancellation of all passenger trains left them stranded in the neighbouring state.
In a video message, the students said that they had exhausted the food which they carried with them and made fervent appeals to help them reach home amid the lockdown.
