Bhubaneswar: The newly elected Student Council and Club Bearers of SAI International School were formally inducted at the Investiture Ceremony 2026, held at the Indraprastha Auditorium.

Senior Odisha cadre IPS officer Sudhanshu Sarangi, who was the chief guest, delivered the keynote address.

“True leadership is earned through discipline, humility, and the courage to make the right choices even when they are difficult. A badge or title is not merely a symbol of authority but a reminder of the responsibility to serve with honesty and dedication. I encourage not only the students being inducted today, but each one of you present here, to lead by example, remain grounded in your values, and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those around you,” he said.

Sarangi further shared that he had been visiting SAI International over the years and had witnessed the institution consistently uphold its core values while carrying forward the visionary legacy of Late Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo with unwavering commitment and purpose.

Silpi Sahoo, SAI International Education Group chairperson, encouraged the newly-elected student leaders to embrace leadership with purpose and humility.

“Leadership is not about holding a position; it is about inspiring others through character, compassion, and commitment. At SAI International, we believe in empowering our students to become responsible global citizens who lead with integrity, embrace challenges with confidence, and create meaningful change through service. The Investiture Ceremony marks the beginning of a journey where every young leader is entrusted with the responsibility to uphold our values and inspire excellence,” she said.

The programme commenced with a soulful performance by the SAI Choir.

The newly-elected leaders were presented badges and sashes, symbolising the trust and responsibility entrusted to them. The student leaders then took the oath of office, pledging to discharge their duties with sincerity, fairness, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the institution.

The Head Girl and Head Boy addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in them and reaffirming their commitment to fostering an inclusive, progressive, and vibrant school community.
