Burla: A magazine to honour the efforts of those at the forefront of India’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic was launched on Friday.
‘Frontline Warrior’, as it has been named, has been compiled by Hridayananda Prusty, a final-year engineering student of Odisha’s Vir Surendra Sai University Of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla.
The magazine was launched online with former Union Health Secretary Preeti Sudan, Rajya Sabha MP Prashant Nanda, actress Anu Chowdhury, VIMSAR Director Professor Lalit Meher, ace athlete Dutee Chand, Padma Shri Dr Jitendra Haripal among those attending the event.
Prusty spoke to frontline workers across various fields and compiled their experiences through write-ups.
“Ordinary people have been scared since the day the COVID pandemic entered the country. To combat this, some people, including doctors, doctors, nurses, media representatives, police, jawans, cleaning staff, etc, have fought to save the lives of others,” said Hridayananda.
Hridayanand has been assisted by his friends Sandeep Kumar Singh, Saharas Panda, Aryan Pratyush Nayak, Ankita Meher, Ayushi Swayam, Archita Bishwal, Abhijit Jena, Vishal Mishra, Gajendra Purtal.
