Sambalpur: A nursing student on Sunday lodged a police complaint after some inmates of a hostel, where she stays, allegedly cut her hair while she was asleep.
The girl from Kuchinda is undergoing ANM training at Koshal ANM & GNM Training School, Dhanupalli, in Sambalpur district.
According to the complaint, the victim was shocked when she found her face smeared with ink and the hair cut after waking up in the afternoon.
She informed her guardians about the incident and later lodged a complaint at Dhanupalli police station alleging that she was ragged in the hostel.
Police have detained the principal and an official of the private nursing school in connection with the case.
