Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to allow students of Class IX and XI to attend schools from February 8.
In a notification, the School and Mass Education Department said that the regular classes of Class IX and XI will be held from February 8 to April 30.
Class Timings
As per the notification, the duration of teaching for Classes IX and XI will be from 8.30 am to 10.30 am from Monday to Saturday. There will be three periods daily and no recess break.
However, timing of the starting of classes can be rescheduled by taking account of local weather conditions.
Class X Timings
The timing for Class X will be rescheduled from 11 am to 4 pm. There will be seven periods daily and a recess break from 1.40 pm to 2.10 pm. Students of Class X will also attend school on Sundays.
Unit Test & Exam
For Classes IX and XI, there will be one unit test in the second week of March. The annual examination will be conducted in the last week of April.
It may be mentioned here that Classes X and XII were reopened in the state on January 8.
