‘Students Should Give Less Time To Social Media’

Bhubaneswar: Students should devote time to their studies and not to social media sites or apps like Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. They should take care of their health and change their lifestyle, said Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University health director Prof Ashok Mohapatra at the annual function of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER).

Mohapatra attended ITER’s annual function “Chakrabyuha And Genesis-2019” as guest of honour. He also said that obesity is the main reason for health problems. “So, students should be careful about their health,” he said. “Only if the young masses are healthy, will the country be healthy.”

ITC-IOC director Prof Bhaskara Narayan Thorat was present as chief guest and said that nowadays, competition is increasing daily in every field. “So, students should work hard to get into the competition,” he said.

ITER dean Prof PK Sahu gave the welcome address at the function while programme coordinator Prof Ranjan Mallick gave the vote of thanks.

The meeting was followed by a cultural function presented by ITER students.
