Puri: The Sun Temple in Konark — which was closed for five months — reopened for tourists with COVID-19 safety precautions here on Tuesday.
Following the guidelines under Unlock 4.0, the government has allowed the tourist destinations to reopen from September 1. While wearing masks and social distancing have been made mandatory for visitors.
Visitors will also undergo thermal screening before the entry. They can buy tickets by scanning QR code installed outside the temple to make an online payment.
No public gathering will be allowed.
