Bhubaneswar: After the Wednesday spike of 920, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped again on Thursday with 870 people being found infected in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 741 cases on Tuesday and 797 on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 509 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 361 local contacts. Among them, 157 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Sundargarh reported the highest 220 cases followed by Khurda at 140.

With these cases being detected from 20,880 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 4.16 per cent. Odisha now has 6,325 active cases.
