Mumbai: An excited Suniel Shetty, soon-to-be grandfather, has revealed the due date of Athiya and KL Rahul’s baby.
In a candid one-on-one with Chanda Kochhar on her podcast, the veteran actor shared that daughter Athiya and son-in-law Rahul will be welcoming their first child in April.
When the host asked what are the dinner table conversations at the actor’s house these days, Suniel replied, “Right now, probably the grandchild. There’s no other conversation, and we don’t want any other conversation. We’re just looking forward (to meeting the grandchild) in April.”
Happy to see Athiya looking very beautiful at this stage of her life, Suniel said, “Everything revolves around the baby; whether it’s a boy, it’s a girl, nothing matters. I always thought, I mean women overall, but I always thought Mana (his wife) looked the most beautiful when she was pregnant. I see Athiya and she’s looking the most beautiful.”
Last year in April, Suniel sparked speculations about becoming a grandfather in one of the episodes of ‘Dance Deewane’, saying “Yes, next season when I come (on Dance Deewane), I will be walking on the stage like a nana.”
Athiya, who featured in films like ‘Hero’, ‘Mubarakan’ and ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor,’ married Team India cricketer Rahul in January 2023.
Athiya and Rahul announced their pregnancy last November.
