Mumbai: Sunita Ahuja has reportedly withdrawn the divorce case she had filed against her husband, actor Govinda.
The development comes amid ongoing speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship, with Govinda’s team now confirming that the divorce proceedings have been called off.
Sunita Ahuja was spotted at a family court in Mumbai today along with her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, once again drawing attention to speculation surrounding her marriage to actor Govinda.
When paparazzi asked why she was at the court, Sunita replied, “Birthday manane aayi thi. (I came to celebrate a birthday.)”
Speaking exclusively to us, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha confirmed that Sunita has withdrawn the case, saying, “Sab log darr kyu rahe hai. Sunita ji ne apna case wapas liya hai. Yeh toh khush hone ki baat hai.( Why is everyone getting worried? Sunita ji has withdrawn her case. This is actually something to be happy about.)”
According to reports, Sunita filed a divorce petition against Govinda at Mumbai’s Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024, invoking the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and citing adultery, cruelty and desertion as the grounds for seeking divorce.
Commenting on Sunita’s behaviour at the court, Shashi said, “Woh itne gusse mein nazar aayi toh sabko laga hoga kuch problem hui, par ab sab theek hai dono mein. (She looked quite angry, so everyone must have thought that something was wrong, but everything is fine between the two now.)”
