Sunny Deol’s Juhu Villa To Be Auctioned By Bank To Recover Loan Dues Worth Rs 56 Cr
Mumbai: Sunny Deol’s recently-released film ‘Gadar 2’ may have set the cash registers ringing, but he is in trouble on a different front.
Sunny’s plush villa in upscale Juhu will be auctioned by Bank of Baroda to recover a loan which was given to the actor-turned-politician.
As per the advertisement, total dues are ‘Rs 56 crore plus interest and cost from December 26, 2022 less recovery upto date’.
Bank of Baroda has issued a notice for auction, which was published as an advertisement in a national newspaper on Sunday.
The notice mentions Ajay Singh Deol alias Sunny Deol as borrower of loan for the property named Sunny Villa and the land around it located at on Gandhi Gram Road in Juhu.
Sunny’s brother Vijay Singh Deol alias Bobby Deol and their father Dharmendra are mentioned as Guarantors while Sunny’s company Sunny Sounds Pvt. Ltd is named as Corporate Guarantor for the loan he had taken from Bank of Baroda.
The date for E-auction has been mentioned as September 25, 2023 (1 pm to 3 pm) and the deadline for submission of bid is 5 pm. September 22.
The bank has set a Reserve Price of Rs 51.43 crore for the auction and Earnest Money Deposit for the property is Rs 5.14 crore, while the auction bid increase is Rs 10 lakh.
“We are in the process of resolving this issue and the issue will be resolved. We request no further speculation on the same,” India Today quoted Sunny’s representative as saying.
