Kolkata: Asutosh College here on Thursday posted the first merit list for admission to BA (Honours) in English, with model-turned-actress Sunny Leone’s name at the top.
Leone’s name was written against application ID 9513008704 and roll number- 207777-6666.
The score of best four subjects was mentioned as 400 and the year of passing was 2020 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Soon, a screenshot of the merit list went viral on social media platforms and Sunny, undoubtedly had a hearty laugh after coming across her name in the list.

However, later a college official cleared the air by stating that a wrong application was submitted by someone with Sunny Leone’s name on it.
“It is an act of mischief as someone deliberately submitted a wrong application having typed Leone’s name. We have asked the admission department to correct it. We will also conduct an inquiry into the incident,” the official told PTI.
Following the incident, the candidate’s name was changed to ‘ABC’, but the other details remained the same.
