Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw the highest single-day spike of 126 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which took the affected tally to 1469 on Thursday.
Among them, 93 are quarantine and 33 are local contact cases. Of the quarantine cases, 91 have links with previous positive patients and 35 among them are employees of the flour mill at Mancheswar have tested positive for the virus.
With this, 61 employees of the flour mill have been infected in the last two days.

DETAILS OF THE NEW 126 CASES
With 11 deaths and 805 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 651 active cases. The city had reported 124 new cases on July 17. There has been a steady rise in COVID-19 cases in the Odisha capital, which is under complete lockdown till July 31, in the past few days.
