Supreme Court Adjourns Arvind Kejriwal’s Bail Plea In CBI Case Till September 5
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned for September 5 the hearing of pleas of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest and seeking bail in the case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the alleged liquor policy scam, moneycontrol reported.
The hearing was adjourned after the agency sought time to file a counter-affidavit.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan posted the matter on September 5 for hearing.
Notably, the AAP leader was arrested by CBI on June 26 while he was in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the money laundering case stemming from the alleged liquor policy scam.
