New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday refused to cancel the case lodged by actress Rhea Chakraborty against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Priyanka Singh.
This means the CBI has to take over a Mumbai Police FIR against Priyanka Singh and investigate allegations that she faked a prescription to help Sushant access banned medication.
Earlier, the apex court had ruled that all FIRs related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case will be investigated only by the central investigation agency. The CBI had waited for a decision of the Supreme Court, which on Friday said it was “not inclined to interfere”.
Last month, the Bombay High Court had endorsed the case against Priyanka Singh but had dismissed another against Sushant Singh Rajput’s other sister Mitu Singh.
Both cases were based on the complaint of Rhea Chakraborty, who had dated Sushant Singh Rajput.
