Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa and Bollywood celebrity Sussanne Khan were among 34 people arrested following a raid at a club in Mumbai on the wee hours of Tuesday.
The accused, including seven staff members of Dragonfly club at Andheri, were booked for violating COVID-19 norms.
They were later released on bail.
Police said the arrests were at 3 am after the raid at Dragonfly club for keeping the establishment open beyond the permissible time limit and not following COVID-19 norms.
The accused were booked under Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (whoever unlawfully or negligently does any act which is, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC and provisions of NMDA, India Today reported.
