Mumbai: Just a day before his death on June 14, actor Sushant Singh Rajput had transferred money to the account of Raees for taking care of his pets at his Lonavala farmhouse.
Raees, the caretaker of Sushant’s farmhouse, told IANS that the actor had three pet Rottweilers named Amar, Akbar and Anthony at his farmhouse.
“On June 14 afternoon, I saw the news that Sushant sir has committed suicide on TV news channels and at first I could not believe what I was seeing. Just a day before, he had transferred money to my account to take care of his pet dogs, Amar, Akbar and Anthony,” Raees was quoted as saying.
The caretaker further revealed that Sushant “was planning to shift to the farmhouse and practise organic farming.” He had thought of shifting in March this year and stay at the farmhouse for two to three months. Unfortunately, that didn’t materialised.
The actor used to throw parties at his farmhouse on special occasions like his and girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s birthday.
The last time Sushant visited his farmhouse was in February this year, according to the caretaker.
“In January, Sushant sir came with Rhea to celebrate his birthday. They were accompanied by Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi and some friends. Then, Sushant sir came here in the last week of February. At that time he was accompanied by Dipesh Sawant, Siddharth Pithani, Neeraj and a cook named Keshav. His March trip got cancelled,” said Raees.
The caretaker said that Sushant’s pets Amar, Akbar and Anthony are still at the farmhouse, and are up for adoption.
