Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate ( ED) probing the money-laundering case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise has found that the actor was paying EMIs for a flat in which Ankita Lokhande is currently residing.

According to a report by India Today, Sushant was paying loan instalments of the flat, worth Rs 4.5 core, located in Mumbai’s Malad. The EMIs were being deducted every month from one of Sushant’s accounts.

Though it is not clear about the amount of money that was paid when the flat was purchased a few years ago, sources told India Today that only few more instalments are pending.

According to ED sources, Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had revealed about the flat during the interrogation.

Sources revealed that the ED team could ask Ankita to produce the property details and verify the investment and registration details of the flat.

In an earlier interview, Ankita had stated that Sushant was not money-minded.

“No, he was never money-minded. Sushant ke liye paisa kabhi itna important nahi thaa. He could build his empire anytime again. I don’t believe that paise ke wajah se depression hoga,” she told India Today.

Ankita and Sushant were in a relationship for nearly six years before parting ways in 2016.
