Mumbai: Mumbai police has received the final post-mortem report in the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. The report has confirmed the initial findings, that the actor died because of asphyxia due to hanging on June 14.
The final report stated that there were no external injury marks on Sushant’s body and his nails were also clean. Hence, it is a clear case of suicide.
While the provisional post-mortem report was signed by three doctors, the final report has been signed by medical practitioners.
The late actor’s viscera has been preserved and sent for chemical analysis and Mumbai police have written to the Directorate of Forensic Science Services to expedite the analysis process.
Police have also stated that the CCTV cameras of the residential building, where Sushant resided, were working on the day of his death.
Police have so far recorded the statement of 23 people in the case. Cops may summon the websites which reported various theories behind Sushant’s death for questioning.
