Suzuki Jimny Coming To India

The fourth-gen Suzuki Jimny was showcased at Auto Expo 2020 on Saturday. The Gypsy was the second-gen Jimny sold here.

The Jimny sticks is a body-on-frame compact SUV with four-wheel drive. It is powered by Suzuki’s K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 102hp. A 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox is optional. It will have similar creature comforts such as infotainment system and climate control like other Marutis.

In Europe, it gets six airbags, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), a seat-belt reminder and a lane-assist system. It had received a three-star Euro NCAP rating.

The Jimny when it comes to India will be a 5-door version and will be made in India. It is expected to be launched in 2021 and would retail in NEXA.
