Bhubaneswar: Two more persons succumbed to swine flu on Saturday, taking the toll to 26 in the state this season.
The deaths were reported from Kalinga Hospital and KIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, nine fresh cases were detected among 29 swab samples sent for examination. These patients are undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital (2), SUM Hospital (2), KIIMS (2) and one each at Apollo Hospital, Kar Clinic and Aswinin Hospital in Cuttack. They are natives of Keonjhar (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Khurda (2), Nayagarh (1), Ganjam (1) and Sundargarh (1).
Of the total 839 sample tested so far, 290 have been found positive for the H1N1 virus, official sources said.
